What's the difference between Multiple Choice and Multi-Select?
Multiple Choice and Multi-Select are both field types for predefined options, but they work differently:
Multiple Choice (Single Selection): • User picks ONE option from your predefined list • Example: "Priority: Low, Medium, High, Critical" → User selects "High" • Best for: Status fields, priority levels, categories, single-answer questions • Voice example: "Priority is high" → Extracts "High"
Multi-Select (Multiple Selections): • User picks MULTIPLE options from your predefined list • Results stored as comma-separated values • Example: "Symptoms: Fever, Cough, Headache, Fatigue" → User selects "Fever, Cough" • Best for: Tags, features, symptoms, non-exclusive choices • Voice example: "Symptoms include fever and cough" → Extracts "Fever, Cough"
Key Differences: • Multiple Choice = One answer only (mutually exclusive) • Multi-Select = Multiple answers allowed (non-exclusive)
Note: "Checkboxes" is not a field type in SaySheet. Use Multiple Choice for single selection or Multi-Select for multiple selections.
